HAZRAT SUFI INAYAT KHAN (Baroda, July 5, 1882 – Delhi, February 5, 1927) was a Sufi mystic and a musician of the highest order, who music was celebrated in the great courts of India, including that of the Nizam of Hyderabad. As a young man he became a devoted student of Shaikh Syed Abu Hashim Madani of the Chishtia silsila. In 1910, heeding the prophetic advice of his Murshid, he sailed with his brothers to the West, where he worked for the rest of his life to spread the universal message of love for the Divine Ideal, service to humanity, and respect for the unity of religious ideals.
THE DARGAH OF HAZRAT SUFI INAYAT KHAN is offered as a place of prayer and meditation to all people, without regard to religion, creed, gender, caste, class, nation or race. It is a meeting ground for inter-religious fellowship, a spiritual center, and an akasha for the divine gifts of love, harmony and beauty.
DARGAH HAZRAT INAYAT KHAN, 129 Basti Hazrat Nizamuddin, New Delhi 110013. Near Dargah Sharif Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia, there is a small access lane behind the Shiv Mandir, opposite Aman (former Lodhi) Hotel.
